What is the difference between Activities and Sessions?


Activities are the overall activity you are offering and is where you will set the Title, Description, Photo and other details of the activity. Sessions are the individual dates/times that you will perform the Activity. There may be lots of sessions that relate to one activity. For example: “Yoga on the Beach” (activity) may take place every Monday and Thursday at 08:00 (sessions).

Can I change the details of my session once it is published?


Yes, you can change some details of the session once it is published. For example, if your original location is no longer available you can change the location to somewhere more suitable. However, it is important to note that any Moovvers who have already been booked will be automatically be given the option to either accept the changes (booking remains) or reject the changes to cancel their booking and receive a full refund. If they paid online in advance, this refund will be automatically generated if they reject the changes.

Can I cancel a session that is published?


Yes, you can cancel a session. The publication fee is non-refundable and if you cancel all Moovvers who were booked on your session will be given a full refund. Remember you can change the details of your session for free, which could be better than cancelling. Please see our Cancellation Policy for more information.

Do I receive payment if people who have booked don’t show up?


Yes. Moovv will release any payments made in advance online (i.e. not cash payments) to you 3 days after of the end of the session.

Why does Moovv wait 3 days to release my money to me after a session?


This is to protect the Moovvers from false sessions being advertised. If a Moover has booked and paid for a session, but the Shaker doesn’t turn up, they have 3 days to raise the issue with Moovv for investigation. You will be able to see the funds in your balance during those 3 days, you just won’t be able to withdraw it to your bank account.

What do I do if I am unable to perform a session as I am sick?


We would recommend that you inform all Moovvers who have booked to attend your session as early as you can by using the in-app chat function. You then have the option to change the date/time of the class, or cancel it altogether. If you change the date/time, then any Moovvers who have already been booked will be automatically be given the option to reject any changes you make to cancel their booking and receive a full refund. If you decide to cancel, the publication fee is non-refundable and all Moovvers who were booked on your session will be given a full refund. Please see our Cancellation Policy for more information.

Can I set up a type of class that isn’t showing as an option?


Currently you can tag classes only with the options available. But we are always interested in expanding the options available to our community, so please use the Contact Moovv function in Preferences to let us know what you would like to add and we will get back to you!

I had people book my class but no-one has shown up, what should I do?


We would recommend that you send a message to the Moovvers to see if they are having problems finding you and/or running late. If you have done this and waited for 10 minutes after the start of the class, then it is at your discretion to leave the class location. Moovv will release the payment to you within 3 days of the end of the class unless we are contacted by Moovvers querying whether the session took place.

How often do I get paid?


You will receive any payments received through online bookings for your sessions 3 days after the end of the session that the payment relates to. If you have changed the timings of the session, you will be paid after either 3 days after the original timing, or 3 days after the revised timing, whichever is later.

I have to cancel my class due to terrible weather, what do I do?

Can I refund someone who attended my class?


Currently, we are unable to offer this service but we are working on this as an option to be used at the discretion of the Shaker.

What do I do if an attendee behaves inappropriately at my class?


We hope that everyone using Moovv to book onto your sessions behaves appropriately. However, if this is not the case, how you manage your relationship with the Moovvers is up to you.

Can I offer a discount to regular attendees?


Not at the moment, but we are always making improvements. If you have a specific offer you would like to make then just let us know through the Contact Moovv page in the Preferences section.

Can I offer a free class for the first time someone attends?

Can I take photos/videos of my classes to post on social media?


As with any social media post, you must make sure anyone featuring in the photo/video consents to its use online. This can be a great way to attract more customers, and don’t forget to tag moovv!

Do I have to be VAT registered to use Moovv?


Moovv is a Customer 2 Customer business. It is your responsibility to ensure you are adhering to financial legislation.

What do I do if a customer is injured during my session?


We recommend that you complete a risk assessment for any of your sessions and make these available to your attendees if they ask for them. Risk assessments are down to you, and should focus on prevention of injuries in the first place, but also your response to injuries, evacuation routes and emergency numbers to call.

Do I need insurance or qualifications?


It is your responsibility to ensure you are properly qualified and insured to deliver the sessions you are putting on. This is to protect both you and the Moovvers attending your sessions.

What are Moovv’s fees and how are they calculated?


We charge Shakers 1.99€ (including transaction fees) for every session that is published. As the average fee a Shaker charge a Moovver is 5€, with one booking our fee is already covered!

What are the transaction fees and how are they calculated?


All payments from Moovver to Shaker have a transaction fee deducted from the payment. This does not go to Moovv but to the intermediary payment platform, and is calculated as 0.18€ and 1.4% of every transaction.
